Golden Little Lights, a non-governmental organization, organized a fun filled Children’s Day Party for 500 pupils in Lagos. This being its 6th edition.
The event which was held at Ikoyi Girls Primary School today 28th of May 2024, witnessed a Mammoth Crowd of children and parents.
“The children’s day party was to celebrate children and provide fun activities that they may not ordinarily be able to afford due to their backgrounds.
“The one-day programme was established to treat them with laughter and play, including activities related to safety tips and other educational studies – Quiz competition, mascots appearances, bouncing castles and others.
“This is our own little way of giving back to the communities. “We believe that every child deserves to experience joy and happiness, regardless of their background or circumstances,” Golden Little Lights’ Co-founders, Adedoyin Fabikun and Sharon Ashinze, have said.
They emphasized the importance of giving back to the community, especially to children who may not have access to such experiences.
“In addition to providing a day of fun for the children, I called called on the government to invest more in education for them to have quality education and opportunities.
“Golden Little Lights has been working tirelessly to support needy children and make a positive impact in the society. The organization’s dedication to uplifting the lives of children is evident in their commitment to hosting events like this one. I believed every child would go life fulfilled joy, in addition with educational materials such as notebooks, writing materials and mathematical sets,” the co-founders, concluded.
