The Federal High Court in Lagos has granted an order for the interim forfeiture of a popular entertainer, Pretty Mike’s Victoria Island property, alleged to have been used for drug dealing and storage. Justice Musa Kakaki made the order on Tuesday, the Den gathered.
A former National Security Adviser (NSA), Abdullahi Mohammed, is dead. He was 86 years old. The Den learnt that Mohammed, a retired Major-General, who was the former Chief of Staff to Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, died at about 1:00am Wednesday morning. Family members, allies, associates and military officers familiar with the antecedents of the late General, described his death as a huge loss to Ilorin, the nation and the Nigerian Armed Forces. Indigenes of Abuja have called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to respect the Court of Appeal judgement which declared that Abuja, the FCT, should be accorded a status equivalent to that of a state. They are also demanding a democratically elected Governor for the FCT by 2027, urging President Tinubu to declare the current FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, a Sole Administrator until that election is conducted. Troops of the Joint Task Force, Operation MESA, under the 3 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, have repelled an attack on communities in Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State, killing 19 of the assailants. Pete Hegseth, United States Secretary of War, says his department is preparing for possible military action in Nigeria. The Warri-Itakpe Train Service, one of the standard gauge services operated by the Nigerian Railways Corporation (NRC), has derailed. The incident happened on Saturday evening involving two out of the Severn coaches. This is coming three days after the resumption service on the 326-kilometer line.
