The former Senior Special Assistant on Media to President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dr Doyin Okupe, has been described as a bastion of inspiration to many Nigerians.
This statement was made by the Chairman, Federal House of Representatives Committee on Rural Development in the 8th Assembly, Hon (Dr) Oladipupo Adebutu, to celebrate Okupe as he marks his 69th birthday today, March 22, 2021.
In the release signed by the Media Consultant, Afolabi Orekoya, Adebutu said Okupe is a man of great political depth and insight. A political leader whose desire for a better society is unquantifiable.
“Okupe is a grassroot politician whose style of politics attracted him to many friends and loyalists. He is a man who is highly passionate about good governance. His positive role during the Obasanjo regime remains a clear testimony to his political idea of government for the masses and not masses for the government.”
While urging him to continue to provide political leadership, advise and direction to the Nigerian governments both at the national and state levels, Adebutu, prayed God to grant him more years of service to the Nigerian people and tutelage to the youths in particular.
