When prophets warn nations, it is always advisable to listen because they speak not from their own intelligence but through divine signals received from God.

God has placed prophets on earth to reveal his mind to mankind because the word of God explicitly explained that there is nothing that happens without the knowledge of prophets. God speaks to them before he does anything; even though they are humans, they are specially selected individuals closer to God than every other person.

Therefore, whatever they say has to be taken serious because failure to follow their God-inspired instructions most times doesn’t end well.

This is the analysis that best describes the situation recently faced by the Nigerian correctional service and the Nigerian army.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that there was a jail break in Kogi state, which saw the escape of 12 inmates from prison. It was indeed a threat to Nigeria’s security.

According to the reports, the escapees strangled one of the warders before they fled.

“With no one to challenge their movement, the escaped inmates left the prison via the collapsed portion of a window. Before the reinforcements could reach the prison, many of them had left”, a witness said.

Meanwhile, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele in a video posted in 2024 warned the correctional service to be careful of jail breaks across the country in 2025.

These were his words:

“ Let us pray next year so that we will not see jail break and attack on prison, it’s very important”

No doubt, his prophecy has been fulfilled with the latest development.

In the same vein, in another video, Primate Ayodele warned the Nigerian military to be watchful against attacks on barracks by terrorists.

“Military should watch out so that they will not attack any of the military facilities, military base or military convoy. Let them be careful of bomb explosion in any of the military base”

In fulfillment of this, Suspected Islamist fighters launched coordinated attacks on an army base and a military outpost in northeastern Borno State, killing at least 15 people, security sources told Reuters.

In the latest assault, Boko Haram insurgents and ISWAP fighters attacked an army base in the Wajiroko area of Borno State at about 2100 GMT on Monday and set military equipment on fire.

One of the soldiers in the Wajiroko brigade said that at least four soldiers had been killed and several others injured, including the brigade commander.

Between midnight and 3 a.m. local time on Tuesday, militants attacked a military outpost in Wulgo, a village about 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) from the Cameroonian border town of Fotokol, a military source who asked not to be named told Reuters.
