…Texas (Yellow) House Wins Top Prize

The 2nd Inter-House Sports Competition of Bosede Idehen International Academy/Springfield Private School took place on March 21, 2025, marking another milestone in the school’s commitment to academic and athletic excellence. The event was filled with excitement, as students demonstrated their skills, teamwork, and competitive spirit in various sporting activities.

Parents in attendance expressed their excitement and pride, as they watched their children showcase their talents. One parent shared, This was a wonderful experience. Seeing what our kids are capable of brings us so much joy, and it’s even better sharing this moment with other parents.”

The Director of the school, Mrs. Idehen Ovabor, applauded the efforts of both students and organizers, stating that the school remains committed to providing a world-class learning experience.

“Our vision is to create an international-standard atmosphere where students receive the best education, just like in the Western world. We follow an American-Nigerian curriculum, ensuring that students have a balanced approach to academics and extracurricular activities. In the U.S., children are encouraged to learn and play, and we are instilling that same culture here. We call on parents to support this mission because the well-being of our students is our priority,”* she said.

The competition featured four houses, each named after a U.S. state:
– Yellow House (Texas)
– Blue House (Massachusetts)
– Purple House (California)
– Lemon House (New York)

After a thrilling series of events, Texas (Yellow) House emerged as the overall winner, securing first place. Purple (California) House and Blue (Massachusetts) House tied for second place, while all houses gave impressive performances, earning multiple medals.

The event reinforced the school’s dedication to holistic education, ensuring that students develop both academically and physically. With this level of enthusiasm and participation, next year’s Inter-House Sports Competition is expected to be even bigger and better.
