Olusegun Apena Sets For Kosofe LG Chairmanship Race

“The illusion of time will become the reality of time. And time present is made before time becomes present. For all, the time is here and now in our awakening to redream Kosofe and transform our dream into reality. It is time we woke up and smell the coffee.”

I am excited to announce my intention to vie for the Kosofe Local Government chairmanship seat in the 2025 Local Government elections in Lagos State. The motivation behind this lofty aspiration is the ever-burning desire to contribute my quota to the growth and development of Kosofe Local Government Area and humanity as a whole, rather than the pursuit of personal gain and a self-serving political agenda.

While the current council chairmen we have in Kosofe Local Government at large have performed to the best of their abilities in piloting the affairs of our local councils, I am divinely inspired to join the political fray with singular determination of surpassing their achievements by bringing innovative ideas to the table to solve societal problems if given the opportunity to steer the rudder of our local government. I will use my brain and brawn to diligently pursue a transformative agenda for our local government  and place it on an enviable pedestal.

As a passionate advocate for community development, writer, publisher and journalist who is deeply in tune with grassroots politics, social affairs and infrastructure needs of our people, I possess the requisite leadership skills, visionary acuity, political acumen, mental brilliance and self-discipline to make a positive impact; making me an ideal candidate for the chairmanship seat.

I am committed to building on the progress made by the past and current administrations and embarking on new initiatives and projects that will redound positively to address the myriad of intractable challenges and needs of our community.

My goal, among other things, will be to create a more prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable future for all residents of Kosofe Local Government Area irrespective of their ethnicities, religions and political belongingness. I plan to achieve this by focusing on key areas such as infrastructure development, economic growth, education, human capacity development, healthcare, urban farming and environmental sustainability.

As I set out on this noble quest, I crave the support of the good people of Kosofe Local Government and humbly invite you to join me on this journey to social and economic rediscovery with the birth of my brand of people-centric philosophy – Apenaism.
