In a move to promote integrity and combat corruption across the continent, a non-governmental organisation, under the aegis of Transparency Africa, has announced that the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Executive Trainers Ltd, Dr. Ajoke Ogunsan, will be honoured for her outstanding commitment to transparency and ethical leadership.

In a recent letter of notification addressed to Ogunsan and signed by the Executive Secretary of the group, Ambassador Affi Kunto, the honouree was said to have merited the award after meeting the necessary prerequisites.

“Our vision is to create a corrupt free Africa both in public and private sectors for a better Africa. Transparency Africa recently considered your impressive & transparent records of your personality and organisation, thus ratified you for Transparency Africa Honours/Award.

“Africa is presently faced with the challenge of corruption; the objective of the honours is to promote a corrupt free Africa and honouring credible individuals who have been transparent in their dealings either in public or private sector. Yours is not an exemption, as we have found you credible and transparent enough in your dealings as the MD/CEO of Executive Trainers Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria,” the statement read in part.

The organisation, known for its non-partisan efforts to foster accountability in both public and private sectors, will confer the prestigious Transparency Africa honour upon Dr. Ogunsan on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at her office in Lagos.

Transparency Africa’s mission centres on creating a corruption-free Africa by working with various sectors and civil societies to enhance transparency. The initiative recognises individuals and organisations that have demonstrated exceptional integrity and ethical conduct in their operations. Dr. Ogunsan’s leadership at Executive Trainers Ltd has been marked by such qualities, earning her this notable recognition.

Representatives from Transparency Africa, including delegates from Ghana and Ivory Coast, will present the honour and a ‘corruption-free certificate’ to Dr. Ogunsan.

According to the organisers, the award not only celebrates her personal achievements but also underscores the credibility and transparency of Executive Trainers Ltd. The ceremony aims to spotlight her efforts and inspire others to uphold similar standards of integrity.

Transparency Africa’s platform will feature the event and Ogunsan’s contributions, further amplifying the importance of ethical practices in driving Africa’s development.

Transparency Africa is dedicated to eradicating corruption and fostering transparency across the continent. By collaborating with various sectors, it aims to create a better future for Africa through ethical leadership and transparent governance.
