In what can be described as a remarkable acknowledgment of outstanding achievement and dedicated service, a distinguished figure in Nigeria’s entrepreneurial, public service, and security sectors, Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, has been nominated for the esteemed Africa Illustrious Award.

The award, renowned for celebrating individuals and organisations making significant contributions to the advancement of Africa, shines a spotlight on excellence across various fields.

In a recent letter of nomination signed by one of the members of the organisation team, Prof. Harris Madueke, and addressed to Ogunsan, “the Africa Illustrious Award is a revered and prestigious African honor, conferred on individuals and organisations who have excelled in leadership, philanthropy, community development, business, academia, technology, education, agriculture, and entrepreneurship across Africa.

“Consequently, the African Illustrious Award seeks to search, discover and recognise highly distinguished Africans who have been exceptional in private and public Service. This recognition is in line with our vision to project and promote excellence in Africa, not as an exception, but as a consistent pattern in the modern African experience.

“Pursuant to the above, our team of seasoned professionals, distinguished researchers, a special panel, and the public, after due diligence, have found you worthy to receive the prestigious Award of Excellence and Special Recognition.”

With a multifaceted career spanning over two decades, the organisers noted that Ogunsan has demonstrated exemplary leadership and commitment to excellence in his career endeavours bothering on entrepreneurship, public service and security.

As an accomplished entrepreneur, the 47-year old Ogunsan has spearheaded successful ventures, driving innovation and economic growth in Nigeria and beyond. His influence in public service has seen him play pivotal roles in shaping security policies and initiatives aimed at securing lives and properties of Nigerians — safeguarding communities, fostering peace and stability.

Upon learning of the nomination, Ogunsan expressed gratitude and humility, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in driving positive change.

“I am deeply honored to be nominated for the Africa Illustrious Award. This nomination is a testament to the collective efforts of all those who have supported and inspired me along this journey. It is a reminder of the impact we can make when we work together towards a common goal.”

The Africa Illustrious Award ceremony is scheduled to take place on June 21, 2024, at the Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

To the delight of all attendees, Ogunsan will join other distinguished honourees from across the continent as they are recognised for their exceptional contributions to Africa’s growth and development.
