It is indeed honour due for the versatile broadcaster Dr.Adebayo Faleke (kaakaki Olodumare)as he was recently honoured by Governor Seyi Makinde at the Oyo International Tourism Summit 2024, for his Special Contribution to Oyo State Tourism in Radio, Television and Online category at an event hosted in Ibadan the capital city of Oyo State.
Faleke is a multi-talented communicator, who has over the time carved a niche for himself in entertainment industry. His areas of specialization includes; broadcasting,movie production,tourism,media marketing,political analysis, music production and promotion etc
He has also been a very strong voice advocating tourism development in Nigeria and in Oyo State in particular.
He is a strong advocate of making tourism sector a means of revenue and employment generation for oyo state and Nigeria at large.
His radio programme, ‘people and places’ on Fresh FM Nigeria owned by Dr Yinka Ayefele where he also doubles as Group Marketing Manager fresh fm Nigeria as well as General Manager, Tiwantiwa Radio, a Yoruba arm of the Fresh FM is dedicated to promotion of tourism and how it can be profitably harnessed.
The award ceremony held on the 17th of April 2024, at the prestigious International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, is an event to reward contributors to the visibility of tourism in the State and to encourage them to do more for the highly lucrative industry.
