It is with great gratitude and relief that Honourable Alimi Oluwaremilekun announce the safety of him and his family following an attempted assassination today, November 12th, while they were traveling from Abeokuta to Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
The incident is believed to be orchestrated by political enemies who are against Honourable Alimi’s aspirations as a House of Assembly aspirant in Ijebu East Local government under the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Honourable Alimi Oluwaremilekun expressed his heartfelt thanks to God for protecting him and his family during this frightening ordeal. He said, he remains steadfast in his commitment to serving the people of Ijebu East Local Government and will not be deterred by such cowardly acts of violence.
We urge the authorities to thoroughly investigate this matter and bring those responsible to justice. The safety of all political aspirants and their families must be guaranteed as we approach the upcoming election season.
