The Federal High Court sitting in Warri has issued an order directing the Nigeria Police Force and the Inspector General of Police to maintain the status quo in the ongoing case concerning the controversial tinted glass permit. The case, Suit No. FHC/WR/CS/103/2025: John Aikpokpo-Martins v. Inspector General of Police & Nigeria Police Force, came up for hearing today. Crisis deepened in Osun State’s local government system on Thursday after a faction of local government workers, under the umbrella of the Association of Concerned Local Government Workers of Osun State, directed striking council staff to immediately resume work.
