Setting The Record Straight: Ofokutu Family’s Misleading Claims On Owa Obokun Adimula Throne

Prince Olabode Kayode, the founder of African Heritage focus initiative international also the pioneer member of Ijesaland Progressive peace Ambassador has address the malicious and unfounded allegations made by the Ofokutu family regarding the enthronement of the new Owa Obokun Adimula, H.E. Clement Adesuyi  Ajimoko III.

The Ofokutu family has been spreading false information, claiming that Mr. Governor, H.E. Sen. Demola Adeleke, influenced the selection process and bastardized the Ijesaland traditional cultural heritage. I categorically deny these allegations and assert that the selection process was conducted in accordance with the traditional norms and customs of Ijesaland.

The Oracle and Afobaje’s have consistently chosen the Ajimoko family for the Owa Obokun Adimula throne due to their exceptional leadership qualities.

The Ofokutu family’s claims of a “kangaroo process” are unfounded, as the selection process was conducted transparently and in accordance with tradition.

The missing files of the seven Afobaje’s are not the responsibility of the Governor or the new Owa Obokun Adimula.

The Ofokutu family’s allegations of fraud and illegitimacy are baseless and lack concrete evidence. Prince Olabode urge the Ofokutu family to cease their campaign of calumny and misleading information. We appeal to them to respect the traditional institutions and customs of Ijesaland.

Setting the records straight

1. Do not drag the innocent Ijesa people into your baseless legal battle, we the Ijesa people are not part of it. I made bold  to say this,  as an Ijesa born Crowned Prince that belongs to several social cultural  groups of Ijesahland. None of my immediate, extended family, nor friends and Ijesa Social cultural groups members is part of your irrelevant baseless roforofo legal battle against Mr. Governor and our own reveer new  Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesahland. My advice to you people is to stop the deciet. Deception is not a wisdom.

2. Ijesahland have six traditionally recognized Afobajes they are the ones with Esu rabata in their houses. But one of the Late  Owas make a declaration and added seven of his chiefs to the list of the Afobajes making  them thirteen in numbers. Which our Past Kabiesi that join his ancestors recently inherited and accommodated. But due to his longentity on the throne, seven of the Afobajes approached the Osun State tranditional council of  Chieftaincy to file for the Part II Obaship. And to scale through, they need the consent of the  Late Owa, be an educant and intelligent Oba the Late Owa diplomatically declined them .

The reason is this, once they become part II Oba, the Owa Obokun can no longer control them or give order in their domain.
Now the question is this, you are Chief Afobajes, and you also want to become Obas in your various domain within the same community who does that?
So, when it is time to elect the present Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesahland.
The seven Afobajes files couldn’t be find as Afobajes. Only those six that didn’t apply for Part II  Obaship files was found, unfortunately one of them is Late. According to the gazette one warranty officer was elected to replaced him. These six  Afobajes was present to unimously elected present Owa Obokun Adimula, be the only person ti Odu Ifa e Kun ju.

3. So after the conclusion of the election and results published. The Ofokutus ran to Court to secured ijankara Court order. The moment the real Ijesa people the stakeholders got to know about it, they also heads straight to the same court to vacated the useless order.

And since the Order has been vacated, the Mr. Governor invited all the first class Obas and Chiefs  in Osun State and publicly presented the staff of Office and Certificate to the new Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesahland. In his own time and scheduled. While this was ongoing, the Ofokutus went to all social media with fabricated lies that Mr. Governor has installed new Owa Obokun without tranditional rites. Mr. Governor presentation of staff of office and certificate to the new Owa Obokun Adimula in his own time and scheduled been Sunday. This is another crime the Ofokutus presumedly believed Mr. Governor committed against them. Are they the ones to tell Mr. Governor how and when to carry out his functions as Executive Governor of Osun State?
Or is the Court made for only the Ofokutus? The audience Court granted them to secured the Ijankara Court Order base on the lies. The same right the Ijesahland stakeholders have to seek for the vacation of the Ofokutus Ijankara Court Order.

Now the Court are ready to hear both side, the Ofokutus still going about the social media platforms with michvious lies that Owa Obokun of Ijesahland is an Impostor!

4.The truth is this, the Ifa Oracle and Afobajes has always chosen from Ajimoko family anytime it is the turn of Bilaro rulling family to produce new Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesahland because of their sterling outstanding leadership qualities. For instance.

In 1896 when  Haastrup Ajimoko 1 was selected from the Bilaro ruling house by the Afobajes after consultations with the oracle, where was the Ofokutu family?. In 1942, when it was the turn of the Bilaro ruling house again, another set of Afobajes selected Haastrup Ajimoko II family after consulting the oracle. Last year 2024 when the turn of Bilaro ruling house came up again, Haastrup Ajimoko III was selected after consulting the oracle. Three different sets of Afobajes who never knew each other picking from the same family at three different times! Probably what they have seen, we were not opportuned to see. Rather for the Ofokutus to go for spiritual cleansing and background checks why their family has never been consider worthy to become Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesahland. They resolved in cheap blackmail, slandering character assination against the highest authority in Osun State and Ijesahland.

5. Meanwhile, while the presentation of the staff of office was ongoing, the Ofokutus go to the press and social media accusing the Mr. Governor and Owa Obokun Adimula of bastardisation of Ijesahland Cultural heritage and Traditional Institutions, crying white blue that Mr. Governor has installed new Owa Obokun Adimula without passing through the tranditional rites.

Questions to Answer by Ofokutu’s family

1. Why do they ran to Court to secured Court Injunction to stop Mr. Governor not to accept and present staff of office to the New Owa Obokun elect?

2. Joke apart, on the norm, who among them can will stand the present Owa Obokun in all ramification. Is it age, wealth, affluence, academics qualification, in terms of quality leadership and administrative, exposure, connections, business, clout , social e. t. c who among them? Let the person answer this let’s facts check him.

Abi the one whose only achievement he can pointed out is that he petitioned his  father who happened to be a pastor of church at age of 13 on local podcast?

3.How is the Governor or Owa Obokun Adimula responsible for the missing files of the chief Afobajes that got missing?
Because this is what I was told and meant to believed.

4. Is it the fault of the new Owa Obokun that whenever it is the turned of Bilaro Rulling house IFA and Afobajes always pick Ajimokos?

5. The Ofokutus should tell us how the election that produced the new Owa Obokun Adimula is fraudulent and not acceptable to the Ofokutu?

6. Is there writing agreement between Bilaro Rulling house that the Owaship has be zoned to only the Ofukutus?

7.The Ofokutus should tell us why they choose to Address our own Owa Obokun as Impostor?

8.Now that the New Owa Obokun Adimula has commence his tranditional rites in full earnesty, how did Mr. Governor and new Owa bastardized the Ijesahland Cultural heritage and traditional Institution?

Waiting for their response.
