The Technical Adviser of Rivers United, Stanley Eguma is optimistic that his team will upturn the 2-1 defeat suffered in the first leg of the preliminary rounds of the CAF Confederation cup to Futuro Kings of Equitorial Guinea last Sunday.

Coach Eguma who stated this shortly after a training session where the team perfected both defense and the art of goal scoring on their adopted home ground, Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium said the team will not disappoint teaming fans and sponsors.

The match is the first competitive game to be played by Rivers United at the main bowl of the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium.

The team is not leaving any stone unturned in its quest to qualify for the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup when it hosts Futuro kings after a 2-1 defeat in the first leg.

Technical Adviser of the side, Stanley Eguma, said the team knows what is at stake and will make up for the mistakes made in front of goal in the first leg encounter against Futuro in Mongono.

The reaction of the defence set up during set pieces contributed to the team’s defeat in the first leg, a repeat o which the coach said he was trying to guard against.

Captain of the side , Austin Festus, said they have a job to do on Sunday and cannot afford to let the fans down.

Meanwhile a 32-man Futuro Kings contingent made up of 20 players and 12 officials arrived the port Harcourt international airport on Friday ahead of the fixture of the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation cup
