The Special Adviser, Office of Civic Engagement, Princess Aderemi Adebowale, has stated that the T.H.E.M.E.S agenda of the Lagos State government is the driving force for the development activities of the Sanwo-Olu led administration.

Princess Adebowale, who stated this while welcoming members of a group of Civil Society Organisations on a courtesy visit to her office in Ikeja, added that it is imperative to bring the development pillars outlined in the Agenda to the public domain, through the robust engagement of the people, particularly the Civil Society Groups and the grassroots.

This, according to her, will ensure that the citizenry fully understand and support the programmes and policies that would drive the socio-economic spectrum of the State, stressing that the government has embarked on numerous programmes aimed at achieving “A Greater Lagos”.

She averred that the engagement of Civil Society Groups is vital to the implementation process of various programmes and policies of the government through their support and by extension the support of their teeming followers.

The Special Adviser disclosed further that the State government would continue to engage the youths so as to channel their energy to useful ventures, assuring the CSOs of constant synergy with them.

The leader of the delegation, Comrade Rasaq Olokoba, in his response, appreciated the people-oriented programmes of the government and by extension the Office of Civic Engagement, expressing their readiness to support the development agenda of the current administration.
